Cyber defence

Armenia is developing policies and capabilities in the area of cyber security and is to establish shortly a State Cyber Security Committee. Armenia is keen to develop cooperation with NATO in this domain. A NATO Cyber Defence Fact-Finding Mission visited Armenia from 7-8 December 2010 and discussed Armenia’s regulatory framework and capabilities. The NATO International Staff (ESC Division) produced a report with findings and recommendations, which was forwarded to Yerevan in February 2011. A draft decision on the “creation and establishment of the Statute of the State Cyber Security Committee has been developed and submitted for discussion.

Fight against terrorism

Armenia contributes to the fight against terrorism through its participation in the Partnership Action Plan on Terrorism (PAP-T). This includes sharing intelligence and analysis with NATO, enhancing national counter-terrorist training capabilities and improving border security.
